Beginner friendly Certification + platform practice

Beginner Friendly

A simple learning path from “I want to import” to “I run a system”

ProMan Academy gives you the steps, templates, and platform practice so you don’t learn by losing money.

1

Enroll in a cohort

Join a guided cohort built for Zambian traders importing from China and similar routes.

2

Learn the playbook

Sourcing, product selection, shipping choices, and how to avoid the hidden-fee traps.

3

Practice in the platform

Apply the same steps inside ProMan so your shipments, landed cost, inventory and profit are recorded properly.

The Old Way

Trade is Profitable.
Operations Are the Nightmare.

Profit disappears through hidden fees, missing details, and decisions made from memory instead of records.

The WhatsApp Trap

Digging through old chats to find invoices, tracking numbers, and “what did we pay last time?”

The "Customs Surprise"

You think you made profit — until duty, handling and last-mile fees wipe out the margin.

Ghost Inventory

Selling stock that hasn’t arrived — or losing track of what’s in transit vs on shelves.

Mental Math

Guessing exchange rates and shipping per unit instead of calculating landed cost properly.

Module 1: sourcing and product selection using structured order capture

Module 1: Sourcing & Product Selection

Learn how to evaluate suppliers, choose a winning product, and capture purchase details into a structured workflow (links, quantities, and notes) so you can reference the exact decision later.

  • Build a repeatable supplier comparison habit
  • Standard order capture (product links, quantities, pricing notes)

Module 2: Logistics, Landed Cost & Pricing

Learn how to manage orders as a worksheet, track lead time (order date → arrival date), capture extra fees, and calculate landed cost and margin with records you can audit.

  • Landed cost calculator mindset (not guessing)
  • Track courier milestones and push tracking updates to email
Module 2: landed cost calculation and fee capture
Module 3: multi-supplier shipping and consolidation

Module 3: Inventory, Sales & Control Tower Habits

Learn how to run a disciplined inventory + sales system: products with units and min/max levels, stock write-offs with reasons, sales capture, and reports for decision-making.

  • Configure products (categories, units, min/max) for clean stock control
  • Record sales and generate daily/monthly/date-range reports

How the Academy Works

A simple checklist from “I want it” to “I sold it”

This is the operational flow you will learn, then repeat inside ProMan so every shipment becomes a reusable playbook instead of a one-off experience.

Academy playbook pipeline: order capture, handovers, landed cost, inventory receipt, and sales
1

Find a product online

Compare suppliers, prices and minimum order quantities.

You start where everyone starts: searching online, talking to suppliers and collecting quotes.

  • Value: keep a record of who offered what price so you do not overpay next time.
2

Paste the link into ProMan

Product link, quantity, unit price, and supplier details.

Instead of screenshots in WhatsApp, you save the link and key numbers into one structured order.

  • Value: single source of truth when prices change or suppliers delay.
3

Track dispatch to your warehouse / pickup

Courier name, tracking number, and received quantity.

Your supplier ships to your chosen warehouse, consolidation point, or pickup location. You record the tracking number and what was received.

  • Value: see which domestic couriers are reliable and which ones lose or damage stock.
4

Create your shipment

Forwarder/courier, route, charge per kg or CBM.

You group orders into a shipment, choose a forwarder and record the freight rate, master tracking number and ETA.

  • Value: compare forwarders over time and pick the cheapest and most reliable route for your weight and volume.
5

Record fees and final delivery

Duty/clearance (if any), handling, local courier.

When goods arrive, you capture duty/clearance fees (if applicable) and the last-mile delivery details.

  • Value: no more "customs surprise". Every extra kwacha is included in the landed cost.
6

Sell and learn for next time

POS and online sales connected to landed cost.

As you sell through ProMan inventory, the system compares your selling price against true landed cost per unit.

  • Value: see which combinations of supplier, courier and forwarder gave you the best profit so you can repeat what works.

Outcomes

What learners become — and why companies benefit

ProMan Academy is designed to produce operators who can run the system end-to-end: orders, inventory, sales, customer fulfillment, and reporting — with role-based access and clean data.

Learner Outcomes

Skills a trained operator can execute inside the platform.

  • Set up and run an inventory workspace (tenant) for a shop or team.
  • Create products with categories, units of measure, min/max levels, availability, and images.
  • Use the Orders Worksheet to capture purchase links, quantities, buying/selling prices, and extra fees.
  • Track lead time using order and arrival dates, and keep status fields consistent as orders progress.
  • Track courier events (FYCargo) and send tracking updates to the business contact email.
  • Record sales, link sales to client orders, and generate sales reports (daily, monthly, and by date range).
  • Perform stock write-offs with reasons and keep accountability on adjustments.

Company Benefits

Why training operators pays off in the real business.

  • Role-based access control: Admin/Manager/Cashier/Viewer roles, plus custom permissions for safe delegation.
  • Clean separation of data by inventory (multi-tenant) so teams don’t leak or mix records across accounts.
  • Operational discipline: orders are recorded consistently, status changes are controlled, and lead time is measurable.
  • Fewer surprises: landed cost and extra fees are captured, enabling pricing decisions based on totals, not memory.
  • Accountability: stock adjustments require reasons and are recorded against a user.
  • Customer trust: client order statuses can trigger email updates as fulfillment progresses.
  • Decision-ready reporting: sales reports support daily, monthly, and custom date ranges.

Why even a few items justify the price

Many products online are extremely cheap. For example, phone screen protectors can cost just K5–K10 and sell locally for K50–K100. Below, we assume you only sell 100 units of each item in the whole year. Even at that low volume, the profit from a handful of well-managed items can easily dwarf what you pay ProMan to keep all the information in one place.

Item Landed cost / unit (K) Sell price (K) Profit / unit (K) Units / year Total profit (K)
Phone screen protector 10 80 70 100 7,000
Phone case 20 120 100 100 10,000
Earphones 30 150 120 100 12,000
Ring light 100 450 350 100 35,000
Smart watch band 15 90 75 100 7,500

This is a simple illustration. Actual numbers will differ, but it shows how just 5 items can generate far more profit than the annual ProMan subscription, especially when you choose the right suppliers and couriers using good information.
